Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Royston
Contract: Part Time 8.30 - 13.00 Monday - Friday
Start Date: Immediate start
Salary: Starting salary £89.00 per day

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Class Education is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive team.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support, both in and out of the classroom
  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans
  • Use a range of communication and learning strategies tailored to each pupil
  • Foster independence, confidence, and a love of learning
  • Promote a safe and inclusive environment where all students can thrive
We\'re Looking For Someone Who
  • Has experience supporting children with SEND (school-based or other settings)
  • Is patient, resilient, and empathetic
  • Communicates effectively with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Holds relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) - desirable but not essential
