A leading education support organization in England is seeking a SEND Officer to be the primary contact for Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) activities. You will coordinate the assessment of needs for children and young people with special educational needs, review progress, and advocate for inclusion in educational settings. Candidates should have experience in working with children with special needs and a strong understanding of relevant laws and practices. The SEND Officer will act as the lead contact for Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) activity for children and young people (CYP), with special educational needs and disability and their families.
In line with the SEND Code of Practice and Children and Families Act, these roles will coordinate activities that are required to assess needs, review the specified needs to ensure they are being met, monitor if progress is being made and champion inclusion in the education setting.
