  • Lead and manage the school's special educational needs provision, ensuring all students receive the support they need to thrive.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted interventions and support to promote achievement.
  • Offer guidance and support to staff in differentiating their teaching and adapting the curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on progress and involvement in the support process.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and legislation regarding special educational needs and disability (SEND).
  • Lead training and professional development opportunities for staff related to SEND best practices.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to provide additional support for students as needed.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs and a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
