Job description

Hours: 19.5 working 3 days per week (days to be discussed at interview)

We are seeking an experienced and committed SENCO to join our newly established Acorn Centre, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The role involves leading behaviour strategies, developing alternative provision, and delivering targeted interventions to ensure positive outcomes for learners. You will work closely with the Vice Principal and Lead Practitioner to embed a culture of safety, inclusion, and high expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and implement behaviour policies and interventions within the Acorn Centre.
  • Support pupils in managing behaviour and achieving social, emotional, and academic targets.
  • Develop and deliver alternative curriculum and personalised learning plans.
  • Provide professional development and guidance to staff on behaviour management.
  • Monitor and evaluate behaviour standards and progress.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to support pupil development.
