These roles involve working with young people who may have additional needs, including SEN, SEMH, trauma‑related challenges, or who may be at risk of permanent exclusion (PEX). Your experience and empathy can make a real difference.

About You:

We’re looking for strong Tutors who have:

  • At least 1 year of experience in UK schools in roles such as: Tutor Teacher Cover Supervisor Teaching Assistant ELSA 1:1 Support Other relevant education roles
  • Experience working with learners with additional needs
  • A commitment to inclusive education and personalised learning
As a Tutor, you will:
  • Deliver personalised sessions tailored to the learner’s needs.
  • Provide consistent and supportive mentoring to help build emotional resilience and self-confidence.
  • Develop and implement a Personalised Communication Plan using preferred signals (, hand gestures, cards, emojis, words).
  • Practice communication strategies in calm situations to build familiarity and trust.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people Experience of working with learners with SEN

  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
