Overview

Prospero Teaching have a number of exciting opportunities for experienced education professionals to provide 1:1 tuition to young people in Chichester and the local area. This is a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to learners who need additional support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored tuition sessions to learners with SEN, SEMH, trauma‑related needs, or those at risk of permanent exclusion (PEX)
• Plan and prepare sessions that are structured, practical, and paced appropriately
• Build positive relationships and provide a safe, supportive learning environment

About you

At least 1 year of experience in UK schools in roles such as

• Tutor
• Teacher
• Cover Supervisor
• Teaching Assistant
• ELSA
• 1:1 Support

Ability to plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons

Empathy and resilience when working with learners with additional needs

Essential & Desirable Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
• Experience of working with learners with SEN

Eligibility

• Hold right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide references upon request
• Possess up‑to‑date safeguarding training (or a willingness to undertake this)
