About the Role

Smart Education is delighted to be working with a welcoming primary school in Redditch, who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a pupil with additional needs.

The role will involve both SEN 1:1 support and support within mainstream classrooms. You must be confident in managing sensory needs and creating a safe, reassuring space when required.

Responsibilities
  • Have experience supporting children with ASC, ADHD, or similar additional needs
  • Be patient, nurturing, and proactive
  • Understand sensory sensitivities and be able to respond appropriately
  • Use de-escalation and regulation strategies effectively
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Be reliable and committed to a long-term position
