Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with complex needs? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a client specialist provision based in Newport. This role offers a unique opportunity to support children aged 3-16 who have varying degrees of complex needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with complex needs, both in the classroom and during break times.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored educational programs and activities.
  • Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage social interaction and engagement among students.
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to individual learning plans.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children, ideally in a special educational needs (SEN) setting.
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable to the diverse needs of students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
