About the Role

At Outcomes First Group we are committed to better work/life balance. Brick Lane School is looking for an SEN Teacher to support pupils with diverse learning needs.

Using your primary teaching experience, you will plan and deliver individual or small‑group lessons that are creative, accessible, and aligned with the school’s curriculum. You will monitor progress, adapt your teaching, and contribute to whole‑school initiatives to continually improve the quality of education.

You will collaborate with a multi‑professional team to contribute to individual learning plans, behaviour support strategies, and classroom organisation. You will uphold a positive, safe, and nurturing environment that promotes independence, confidence, and self‑regulation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver individualised lessons for pupils with SEN, adapting teaching approaches to meet diverse needs.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, contributing to whole‑school initiatives and development plans.
  • Create, implement, and review IEPs, behaviour plans, and other personalised documents.
  • Organise classrooms to provide engaging, supportive learning environments that promote independence and confidence.
  • Work closely with LSAs, care staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure coordinated support for pupils.
  • Promote pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development using positive behaviour strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with school policies and safeguarding requirements.
  • Keep up to date with subject knowledge, SEN best practice, and professional standards.
Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • Primary Teacher degree
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Experience working within an education setting
  • Experience planning, delivering and assessing learning

Desirable

  • Experience teaching in EYFS
  • Experience using a multi‑sensory approach to teaching
  • Experience supporting pupils with complex needs

You will work 80 % of your contractual hours for 100 % of your pay, giving you more time to do the things that matter. 4DWW is subject to successful completion of probation and is not a contractual benefit.
