Job description

Job Title: SEN Teacher – Swindon
Location: Swindon
Salary:MPS
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Start Date:September 2025

This one’s for the calm, the patient, the absolutely unflappable.
If you know your way around an EHCP and can spot a sensory break coming a mile off, we’ve got a school that needs you.

We’re working with a specialist setting in Swindon that’s all about getting it right for every child—especially those who need that extra bit of support, structure, and care. They're looking for a qualified Teacher to join the team, bringing warmth, clarity, and a good sense of humour to the classroom. Experience teaching SEN would be preferred, but teachers from mainstream qualifications and backgrounds are also encouraged to apply!

What you'll be doing:
  • Leading a small class of pupils with a range of complex needs

  • Planning lessons that meet individual targets, not just timetables

  • Creating a safe, structured, and genuinely joyful learning space

  • Working closely with TAs, therapists, and families

  • Celebrating the little wins—because they matter most

You'll need:
  • QTS or equivalent and a background in SEND education

  • A calm, confident teaching style (think anchor in a storm)

  • Experience with autism, SEMH, or PMLD

  • Buckets of empathy, patience, and flexibility

Why work through Protocol Education?
  • Weekly pay through PAYE – no umbrella deductions

  • Your own friendly consultant (yes, a real human!)

  • Access to CPD, resources, and SEN training

  • Schools that appreciate and value specialist teachers

  • A quick, supportive registration process—because your time matters
