Are you a passionate, dedicated educator with a commitment to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs? Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teachers to work across specialist SEN schools in Southampton, with opportunities available in both primary and secondary settings.
We are recruiting for flexible ad hoc roles, as well as long-term and permanent positions, giving you the freedom to choose a working pattern that suits your lifestyle.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, tailored lessons to pupils with a range of additional needs (including ASD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or complex needs)
- Create a safe, positive, and structured learning environment
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and school leadership teams
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual EHCP targets
- Build trusting relationships with pupils to support their social, emotional, and academic development
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working within an SEN setting (desirable but not essential)
- Strong behaviour management and differentiation skills
- A nurturing, patient, and resilient approach
- A commitment to inclusive education and personalised learning
