SEN Support Worker - Andover Area

Salary: £21,(Apply online only) - £28,(Apply online only) per year Daily Rate: From £99.28 per day (based on a 9‑hour shift, rising with experience) Hours: 08:15 AM - 17:00 PM, Monday to Friday (part‑time options available) Contract: Long‑term, January 2026 - July 2026

About the Role

Supply Desk is looking for an enthusiastic and committed SEN Support Worker to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the Andover area. This is a long‑term position starting in January and running until July 2026, with both full‑time and part‑time opportunities available depending on your availability.

You will play a key role in supporting students with additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop socially, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. The school has excellent facilities and a supportive leadership team, making this a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.

Responsibilities
  • Support students with special educational needs in the classroom and across the school
  • Provide pastoral care to ensure students feel safe and supported
  • Assist with learning and development across a broad curriculum
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support student progress
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment both indoors and outdoors
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience working in education, care, youth work, or social work settings
  • Knowledge of supporting students with SEN and/or challenging behaviours
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate learners
  • Comfortable working with pupils on both a 1:1 and group basis
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and adaptability
  • Skilled in managing challenging behaviour and using de‑escalation strategies
  • Passionate, friendly, and committed to supporting students with SEND
  • Able to provide two references from an education, care, or relevant setting
