The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Primary Teacher to support pupils with a range of additional needs within our mainstream setting. The role involves planning and teaching small intervention groups, providing targeted in-class support, and working closely with the SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching tailored to individual pupil needs.
  • Plan and implement targeted interventions to support progress.
  • Adapt curriculum content, resources, and assessment to ensure accessibility.
  • Support pupils with EHCPs and contribute to reviews and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, teaching assistants, SENCO, parents, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, maintaining accurate records.
  • Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and inclusion across the school.
The Ideal Candidate

You will be a reflective and nurturing practitioner who:

  • Holds QTS (ECTs welcome to apply).
  • Has experience supporting pupils with SEN in a mainstream primary setting.
  • Has a secure understanding of inclusive practice and differentiation strategies.
  • Is confident working with pupils with a range of needs (e.g. ASD, speech and language, SEMH, cognition and learning).
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
