Prospero Teaching is excited to announce that we are recruiting for a SEN Class Teacher on behalf of a highly regarded SEN school in Queensbury, Brent, Northwest London.

Job Details
  • Job Title: SEN Class Teacher
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Type: 5 days per week, Long-term, Temp-to-Perm
  • Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Location: Queensbury, Brent, Northwest London
  • Pay: £150 - £230 per day
About the School

The school provides specialist support for students with Physical Disabilities (PD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). With approximately 323 pupils, the curriculum is ambitious and flexible, fostering independence, curiosity, and personal growth.

  • Ofsted Rating: Outstanding
  • Facilities: State-of-the-art facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms, and fully accessible playgrounds to meet complex student needs.
The Role
  • Year Groups: 9-12 (KS3/5)
  • SEN Needs: Not PMLD, a couple of students use wheelchairs, some ambulant, ASD, SEMH and ADHD
  • Class Size: 8 Max (TAs to support)
  • Behaviour: Fewer behaviour challenges
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Learning Approach: Sensory-led lessons for all autistic students
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience in SEN teaching
  • Excellent behaviour management, and use of PECS, Makaton, Social Stories, Visuals
  • Child and adult DBS on the update service
  • 2 professional references covering the past two years of your employment
