Develop your career as an Engineer with an established food manufacturer offering training, development, and the chance to learn by working closely with their engineering team.

About the Role

As a Semi‑Skilled Engineer, you'll support the engineering and maintenance team, gaining hands‑on experience with a range of food production machinery and equipment, while developing your skills and knowledge as an Engineer.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (rotating 05:30‑14:30 & 14:30‑23:30)

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks across the site as a Semi‑Skilled Engineer
  • Carry out and support planned and reactive maintenance and engineering activities
  • Support the engineering team to ensure machinery and equipment meet site standards and maintenance requirements
  • Follow all Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures while working as an Engineer
  • Help with projects and continuous improvement initiatives as a Semi‑Skilled Engineer
Skills & Experience
  • Recent apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2+ in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Some practical maintenance experience on manufacturing machinery and equipment is desirable
  • Willingness to learn and develop as an Engineer within the team
  • Proactive approach, able to work effectively with colleagues in engineering and production
