SEMH Primary Teacher – Worthing
Full-time | January Start | MPS / UPS

A specialist primary provision in Worthing is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from January. This role offers the opportunity to work with pupils who present with social, emotional and mental health needs and who require a highly supportive, structured and nurturing learning environment.

The setting supports primary-aged pupils who may experience difficulties with emotional regulation, attachment, anxiety or trauma-related behaviours. Many pupils benefit from small class sizes, clear routines and strong adult relationships in order to engage successfully with learning and make progress both academically and emotionally.

The successful teacher will take responsibility for planning and delivering a differentiated primary curriculum that is adapted to meet individual needs, with a strong focus on emotional development, behaviour support and re‑engagement with learning. You will work closely with experienced support staff and pastoral teams, using consistent approaches such as restorative practice, trauma‑informed strategies and positive behaviour frameworks.

This role would suit a teacher who:
