Job summary

A leading education recruitment agency in the UK is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join an Alternative Provision in Bromsgrove on a full-time basis. This role requires delivering engaging lessons to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs while creating a nurturing environment. SEMH Teacher – Alternative Provision

Full-Time | Start ASAP

Smile Education is recruiting on behalf of one of our partner Alternative Provisions for a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teacher to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them re‑engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.

The Role:
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs
  • Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
  • Build strong, positive relationships to support behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs and external professionals
  • Track progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with SEMH, SEND, Alternative Provision or challenging behaviour (essential)
  • Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Passionate about making a genuine difference in young people’s lives
