Location: Liverpool

Pay: £130 £220 per day (dependent on experience)

Start Date: September (or ASAP)

Are you a passionate educator with a strong understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for an empathetic and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a specialist provision in Liverpool, supporting students who face barriers to learning due to complex emotional and behavioural challenges.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of young people who need it most.

The Role:

  • Teaching and supporting pupils with SEMH needs, often in smaller group or one-to-one settings
  • Planning and delivering a tailored, engaging curriculum to meet varied emotional and academic needs
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and consistent learning environment
  • Working closely with support staff, parents/carers, and external professionals
  • Promoting personal growth, resilience, and positive behaviour

What We re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
  • A strong understanding of SEMH and challenging behaviour essential
  • Experience using nurture-based and trauma-informed approaches an advantage
  • Ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils
  • Calm, adaptable, and reflective approach to teaching
  • ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply training and mentoring provided
