Salary: £28,056 £34,492 per annum

The Role

This role requires someone who believes deeply in the potential of every learner. You ll create innovative, inclusive lessons that go beyond the curriculum, helping young people feel safe, supported, and empowered to succeed in life. On a day to day basis you will:

  • Deliver engaging, trauma informed lessons tailored to SEMH learners, including Functional Skills (English, Maths) and bespoke programmes
  • Design and deliver learning experiences that support emotional regulation and build resilience
  • Collaborate closely with Learning Support Assistants and pastoral teams to provide consistent, individualised support
  • Champion safeguarding, equity, diversity, and inclusion across your teaching and learner interactions
  • Monitor learner progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet varied needs
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful college environment where SEMH learners can thrive
What will you need?
  • Experience working with post 16 learners, particularly those with SEMH needs or in similar supportive roles
  • A proven ability to deliver inclusive, motivating, and high quality teaching
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and positive relationships with learners
