Job description

A school in London is seeking a passionate and committed SEMH English Teacher to join their team in August 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for someone with the compassion, creativity, and structure to make English come alive for young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

You'll be teaching small classes in a calm, structured environment designed to help students re-engage with learning. Many of the learners have experienced disrupted education or trauma, and your ability to build trust and adapt content will be key.

Working closely with support staff, therapists, and pastoral leads, you'll deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Whether it's unlocking creative writing or building confidence in reading, you'll help students find their voice - both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
