  • Build seasonal and individual rosters based on demand.

  • Produce monthly and annual reports on staffing metrics.
  • Act as main contact for roster queries and onboarding.
  • Work closely with operational managers to meet staffing needs.
  • Lead quarterly resource planning meetings.

Birmingham Airport are seeking a highly organised, analytical, and proactive Security Resource Lead to join their Security Business Support team. This is a key role responsible for building, managing and maintaining long-term resource planning and rosters for our Security Operation.

What You'll Be Doing :
  • Develop 6-52 week resource plans, translating airline schedules and forecasts into workforce requirements.
  • Build seasonal and individual rosters aligned with demand, SLAs, working practices, and flexible working requests.
  • Use planning tools to balance staffing supply, identify long‑term resourcing gaps, and maintain accurate rostering and attendance systems.
  • Produce monthly and annual reports, monitor annual leave, overtime, contractual hours, and ensure training compliance.
  • Act as the main contact for roster queries, support onboarding, and manage contract or shift preference changes.
  • Work closely with Security Operational Line Managers to meet staffing needs.
  • Lead quarterly resource planning meetings, ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Department for Transport standards, and provide cover for mid‑ and short‑term planning when required.
