Job description

We have the opportunity for a Security Operations Manager to join our Information Security department here at Tokio Marine Kiln. You will report into the Group Chief Information Security Officer, ensuring the effective day to day management of tasks and processes related to security operations and incident response.

The role includes responsibility for:

  • Assisting the Group Chief Information Security Officer in devising Information Security Strategy
  • Designing, building and managing effective security operations systems to support TMKs Information Security strategy
  • Managing a team of highly technical Security Operations specialists, acting as people manager, mentor and hands-on technical escalation point
  • Providing technical supervision and guidance from an information security standpoint to all technical IT and business teams
  • Responsibility for maintaining, supporting, and improving existing security operations tools, documentation, and processes - in coordination with Security Architecture, Security Governance Risk & Compliance, Enterprise Architecture and IT Technology Operations teams
  • Providing technical leadership during security-related incidents, driving the analysis, containment and remediation in response to threats detected
  • Developing and maintaining incident response procedures and ensure effective collaboration between internal resources and external consultants
  • Providing out of hours support for critical/high severity cyber detections, or availability issues with key security systems (uncommon)

The successful candidate will hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Security or equivalent and will have hands-on technical expertise with secops tools, scripting, devops, cloud and incident response. We are looking for a technical leader who has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, who can balance their time between working as a technical resource and being a people manager and mentor.
