Overview

Retail Security Officer - Lidl Wonford

Location: Burnthouse Lane, Exeter (EX2 6NF)

Position: 15 hours per week on weekends, overtime available for holiday/absence cover

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Shifts: Day shifts only Wednesdays and Sundays. (Up to 10 hours a day between 8am – 10pm Monday – Saturday, and 9am to 4pm on Sundays) Nights 10pm-6am

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor
• Safely detain offenders following H&S training
• Utilize store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates
• Collaborate with covert security operatives
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation
• Report crime incidents using a company-provided tablet
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety
• Record patrols in daily activity sheets
• Provide security updates during store briefings
• Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all

Qualifications

• Door Supervision or Security Guarding License
• Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or education

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience in a retail security role
