Overview

Position: Front of House Officer

Weekly Contracted hours: 36hrs

Hourly rate: £12.98

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Front of House Security Officer to join our team. As a FOH officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding our client's premises, assets, and personnel. You will play a key role maintaining a secure environment and deterring potential threats. Working 36 hours per week. Working Mon / Wednesday / Friday. Overtime opportunities available.

Main Duties
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and incidents.
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence.
  • Enforce site Policies and Procedures, Assignment Instructions.
  • Write detailed incident reports.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies where necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors.
  • Assist with emergency response and evacuation procedures.
Training
  • Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
  • To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the FOH Supervisor
  • Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.
Protection and Health & Safety
  • Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
  • Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss, or damage.
  • Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.
  • To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
  • Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.
  • Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
  • To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
  • To call emergency services and Regional Operations Centre to report all incidents.
What we are looking for
  • Proven experience as a Security Officer / Front of House, in related roles.
  • Proven experience in Emergency response role.
  • Valid Security Licence
  • Valid First Aid Certificate (EFAW or FAW).
  • Strong Observational Skills and Security Situational Awareness.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Physically fit and capable of standing and walking for extend periods.
  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • DBS Check.
