Qualifications

  • Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Support teaching staff in delivering effective lessons.
  • Work one-to-one or in small groups with students requiring extra help.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs or EHCPs.
  • Encourage positive attitudes and engagement in lessons.
  • Prepare and adapt learning resources as directed.
  • Monitor and record pupils' progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Assist students with homework or study tasks.
