Job Description

Secondary School Teacher | Rotherham | £160 to £223 per day

CER are currently recruiting Secondary School teachers to cover a variety of day to day and long-term appointments in partnership with schools in Rotherham.

As a cover teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an exciting opportunity for you to work across a wide variety of schools, gaining valuable experience or trying new settings to find your dream job. You will be contributing to our supportive and inclusive school community and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

We are also keen to speak to ECT's (Early Career Teachers) who are looking to kick start their careers and have a number of exciting opportunities available, full support to help you transition into the classroom for 2025.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 that are in line with the national curriculum and cater to the needs of all students
  • Strong behaviour management and maintain high standards in line with school policies
  • Adapt to different school environments showing a flexibility and resilience
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to facilitate active learning and promote student engagement
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic development
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the English curriculum
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Further Education qualification (QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Previous experience teaching in a UK based school is essential for this role and references will need to be submitted
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential
