Overview

Smart Education is currently recruiting for Secondary School Teachers to work in a variety of mainstream and specialist secondary schools across the Teesside area. We are seeking subject specialists in English, Maths, Science, Humanities, PE, Languages, and more, for both short-term and long-term placements.

Job requirements


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Experience teaching in secondary school settings (NQTs/ECTs welcome)

  • Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding

  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills

  • Ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply)


Role responsibilities


  • Teaching your subject to students across KS3 KS5

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to mixed abilities

  • Marking and assessing pupil work in line with school policies

  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Supporting the academic and personal development of students

  • Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies

  • Contributing to departmental planning, meetings, and CPD
