Supply Secondary Music Teacher – Brighton Area

Are you a passionate and qualified Music Teacher looking for flexible, rewarding work? Do you have the creativity and enthusiasm to inspire students through music? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a dedicated Secondary Music Teacher to work on a supply basis in a vibrant and inclusive school in the Brighton area.

About the Role

We are partnering with a forward-thinking secondary school that values creativity, expression, and the performing arts. As a supply Music Teacher, you will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 in the absence of the class teacher. Whether it’s composition, performance, or musical theory, you will help students develop their skills and appreciation for music.

This is an excellent opportunity for a music specialist who enjoys the variety and flexibility of supply teaching while maintaining the professionalism and passion of a subject expert.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Music to students across KS3 and KS4, following pre-planned lessons or adapting your own where appropriate
  • Deliver lessons that include practical, theoretical, and creative elements of the music curriculum
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Encourage student engagement and participation in music, performance, and creative expression
  • Work collaboratively with other staff and contribute positively to the school community

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Music
  • Experience teaching secondary-aged students (KS3 and/or KS4)
  • Strong classroom management and confident delivery of practical and theory-based music lessons

Pay: Competitive

Hours: 8:30am – 15:30pm
