Temp-to-Perm Opportunity! We’re recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEMH provision in High Peak for a Secondary Learning Mentor. Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can support secondary-aged students navigating emotional, social, or behavioural challenges - helping them rediscover a positive relationship with learning?

Secondary Learning Mentor (SEMH Focus)
Location: High Peak, Derbyshire
Daily Rate: £95-£110/day
Equal pay to permanent staff from Week 13
Paid via PAYE by Step Teachers - no umbrella companies!
Contract: Temp-to-Perm, Full time
Start Date: ASAP

About the Setting

This unique setting—recently designated as an alternative provision academy—supports pupils up to Key Stage 4 in small cohorts. It is based in a serene part of High Peak and forms part of a multi-site structure designed to re-engage young people who have struggled in mainstream education. The environment is carefully structured, with small classes of around 10 students, high adult support ratios, and a tranquil setting aimed at encouraging positive behavioural change.
