Job summary

A London based staffing agency is seeking a Second Chef to work in a busy kitchen near Gatwick Airport. This ongoing role involves assisting with the kitchen operations, preparing dishes, and ensuring food safety standards. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of catering experience in high volume environments and hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate. This position requires working Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with the potential to become a permanent role with the client.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Second Chef in high volume restaurants or contract catering.
  • Ability to maintain kitchen and food safety standards.
  • Experience in cooking high quality dishes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in running the kitchen for catering services.
  • Prepare high quality dishes including breakfast.
  • Support other chefs and maintain kitchen safety standards.

Hospitality2day are a London based staffing agency and work with a huge variety of clients in and around London.

Our bookings ranging from B&I sites, event catering and hospitality catering and we pride ourselves in delivering a quality service for our candidates and clients alike.

We are looking for Second Chef to join our team here at Hospitality2day to work on an ongoing role with one of our client near Gatwick Airport and potential to go permanent with our client.

The role is Monday to Friday 7.00am to 3.30pm

Duties
  • Assisting inrunning the kitchen
  • Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes
  • Cooking of breakfast
  • Assisting supporting other Chefs and team on site
  • Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards
Work Experience
  • Previous Catering experience as a secondchef preferably within high volume restaurants or contract catering environment (min 1 years working experience)
  • Confident working in a busy kitchen
  • Experience in producing food of a high quality
  • A current level 2 Food Hygiene and Allergen certificate
