Overview

To be a Seasonal Sales Assistant at The Entertainer you must be: reliable and flexible in what hours you can work, there may be the chance of extra hours too if we\'re busy; approachable and confident to deliver excellent customer service; physically fit and able to move stock around the store, working with deliveries and pallets both on your own and as part of a team; willing and able to help out in our local Tesco concession space. Merchandising, keeping the shelves full, talking to customers and handling deliveries are part of the role. Holly, Seasonal Sales Assistant from last year, says: "Working for the entertainer is a wonderful and thrilling experience, there is never a day where I am bored or have nothing to do. I enjoy restocking and making sure all the prices are correct for all our customers, however, I do like seeing kids get excited about seeing their favourite toys in stock brings me back to when I was younger and enjoyed those same toys, for me this is very rewarding and love seeing the excited and thrilled looks on their faces. On the weekends when it is especially busy, I like to replenish and make myself available for everybody, whether that\'s to grab an item off the top shelf or to recommend a toy or bestseller for Christmas, I love being a Seasonal Sales Assistant as I feel that those little jobs like restocking can make a big difference to a customer coming in to our store for the first time."

Responsibilities

• Be reliable and flexible with hours; there may be extra hours when we are busy.
• Provide approachable, confident customer service.
• Move stock and assist with deliveries and pallets, both individually and as part of a team.
• Support the local Tesco concession space when needed.
• Merchandising: keep shelves full, talk to customers and handle deliveries.

Key Information about this role

• Rates of Pay: 16-20 year olds - £11.00 per hour; 21-year-old plus - £12.21 per hour.
• Contract end date: 3rd January 2026.
• Store hours: open 7 days a week; weekend availability including Sundays required.
• Possible contracts: 12-hour per week (4-hour shifts over 3 days or two 6-hour shifts) or 8-hour per week (4-hour shifts over 2 days or one full day).
• There may be opportunities for extra hours depending on trade.
• All Seasonal Sales Assistant contracts require working on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day or New Year\'s Eve.
