An exciting opportunity has arisen for Activity Leaders to join our team at Calshot Activities Centre, part of Hampshire Outdoor Centres.

Calshot Activities Centre is one of six centres operated by Hampshire Outdoor Centres, known for delivering high-quality outdoor education across Hampshire and Wales. We’re proud of our reputation for excellence, professionalism, and operating to the highest standards.

The Role :

As an Activity Leader at Calshot, you’ll be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering meaningful outdoor learning experiences. You’ll primarily work with school groups, supporting their personal development through immersive, group-based activities. Wherever possible, our instructors follow a group throughout their stay, building rapport and delivering a wide range of land and water-based sessions.

This is a fixed-term contract starting in March 2026, with genuine opportunities to progress into full-time, permanent roles within Hampshire Outdoor Centres.

What you’ll do :
  • Deliver engaging outdoor activities that promote teamwork, confidence, and personal growth.
  • Support school groups throughout their residential experience, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Teach a variety of land and water-based activities, depending on your skills and qualifications.
  • Contribute to the centre’s commitment to high standards of safety, professionalism, and educational value.
What we’re looking for :
  • Enthusiastic and motivated individuals who believe in the value of outdoor learning.
  • A minimum of one relevant NGB instructor qualification (e.g. watersports, climbing, skiing, etc.).
  • Experience working in an outdoor centre with some teaching or instructional background.
  • Skills in any activity offered at our centres are advantageous. We also welcome applicants with broad outdoor experience and a passion for teaching.
