Essential:

  • BSc in Protein Science, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years’ industry experience or MSc with 3 years’ industry experience
  • Demonstrated capability of managing and delivering multiple projects in parallel.
  • Hands-on experience in common molecular biology techniques, including PCR, PCR clean-up and agarose gel electrophoresis.
  • Experience with protein science techniques, including protein expression, affinity-based purification, protein quantification and SDS PAGE analysis.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • PhD in Protein Science, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field with a minimum 1 years’ industry experience
  • Experience operating liquid handling robots such as Tecan and KingFisher.
  • Understanding of the principles of cell-free protein synthesis technologies.
  • Experience in protein engineering, including structure-guided design of protein variants for enhanced stability, activity, or yield.
  • Experience with protein characterisation techniques such as Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC).
