My client are a global publishing organisation who are looking for a number of people to work on an exciting 6-month remote project.

Remote, 4 months, £170.00 PAYE per day plus Holiday Pay, Start Date - MID OCTOBER

Role description: The role of the Publishing Ethics Analyst is to support large-scale investigations in the published content of scholarly journals. This role involves analysing potential ethical issues, ensuring research integrity, and assisting in maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurate assessment of activities by authors, reviewers, editors, guest editors and others
  • Assessing large-scale investigations including plagiarism, duplication, authorship disputes, peer review manipulation, and figure manipulation/duplication
  • Keeping investigations to schedule, and ensuring articles assigned are handled in a timely manner
  • Prioritising work based on team needs
  • Supporting the regular team reporting and tracking work progress

Skills:

  • Degree in an academic discipline
  • Knowledge/experience of STM journal peer-review and the publishing process, and COPE best practices
  • Ability to work methodically, problem-solving and fact-checking
  • Strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communications skills
