This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician with proven experience working in an educational science laboratory, who is looking for a stable and rewarding role within further education.

As a Science Lab Technician, you will play a vital part in supporting the delivery of engaging and practical science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a school or college laboratory and will be confident in preparing equipment, maintaining safe working environments, and assisting teaching staff with practical demonstrations and experiments.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing, setting up, and clearing away laboratory equipment for practical sessions
• Ensuring all chemicals, materials, and apparatus are safely stored and maintained
• Supporting teaching staff and students during science experiments and investigations
• Carrying out regular health and safety checks in line with CLEAPSS and college policies
• Managing stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate lab records
• Assisting with the overall smooth running of the science department
