Working Hour
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: 7am to 2pm, inclusive of 30 minutes lunch break
- Thursdays: 7am to 4pm, inclusive of 30 minutes lunch break.
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
Requirement
- Secondary qualifications, at least GCE N levels (not a necessity, where relevant work experience is considered)
- Preferably have relevant experience and knowledge working as a science laboratory assistant in a primary school environment
- Resourceful in preparing learning aids when supporting teachers possibly leading to cost savings
- Preferably have worked with plants or involved in planting / greening activities to support teachers carrying out eco-garden and farmbot activities
- Meticulous, pro-active, a keen eye for details
- Willing to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge with a positive “can-do” attitude, flexible, open to suggestions and ideas
Key Roles
- Prepare Science Laboratory Resources
- Prepare experiment materials for teachers 🧪
- Assist during lab lessons as per the timetable 📅
- Clean and tidy the lab after experiments 🧼
- Store and maintain lab resources after use 📦
- Support Learning Trails & Activities at Eco-Garden
- Help teachers run eco-trails, hydroponics, and robotic farming (FarmBot) 🤖
- Prepare teaching aids for outdoor learning 🌱
- Provide Simple Admin / Resource / IT Support
- Track loaned lab items via sign-out/sign-in records 📋
- Print, collate, and laminate worksheets, posters & game cards 🖨️
- Receive deliveries from MOE, vendors, NParks, etc. 🚚
- Assist with basic IT setup: projectors, iPad carts for labs & garden 📱
- Conduct stock take twice a year 📊
- Issue and collect teacher materials like desk copies 📚
- Other duties as assigned by HOD/Level Heads/Teachers ⭐
⏳ During school breaks (Mar, Jun, Sep, Dec), occasional admin support may be required (e.g., phone calls, walk-in queries).
