This is a full-time position with an immediate start, and for the right candidate, there is strong potential for the role to become permanent.

We are looking for a proactive, organised, and enthusiastic individual who can provide high-quality technical support within the Food Technology and wider Design Technology departments. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a hands‑on, practical environment and is passionate about supporting students' creative and practical learning.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Preparing, setting up and maintaining equipment, ingredients, and materials for Food and DT lessons
  • Ensuring classrooms, machinery, and tools are safe, clean, and ready for use
  • Assisting teachers during lessons and supporting students with practical tasks where appropriate
  • Monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and managing the safe storage of resources
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations across the department
  • Contributing to the smooth day‑to‑day running of the Food and DT areas
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Have previous experience in a technician role, catering, DT workshop environment, or similar practical setting
  • Be confident with kitchen equipment, tools, and basic maintenance
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Have a good understanding of health and safety requirements
