SchoolPremises Assistant required for a School inEaling for an immediate starts

Candidates must hold and Enhanced DBS on the update service

Must be open to rotating shifts

This is a full-time role, Monday - Friday

About the role:
  • Communicate effectively with the facilities team by providing regular updates, reporting issues promptly, and coordinating work schedules to ensure all maintenance projects and tasks are completed efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
  • Carry out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs to the building and surrounding areas, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general upkeep, to maintain a safe, functional, and well-presented environment.
  • Ensure the building and grounds are secure when not in use by conducting routine security checks, monitoring access points, and addressing any potential safety or security risks promptly.
  • Open the building in the morning and lock it at the end of the day, following established procedures to ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and property.
  • Ensure heating, lighting, and alarm systems are checked regularly to confirm they are fully operational, reporting faults to the appropriate contractors or facilities team and arranging repairs when necessary.
  • Take responsibility for ordering equipment relevant to your role, ensuring adequate stock levels of tools, materials, and supplies, and following procurement procedures to support the smooth running of daily operations.
