A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking staff nurses for public health nursing roles focusing on children and young people. Applicants can be experienced or newly qualified. The role includes health assessments, planning care, and delivering health promotion activities. Successful candidates will work closely with various partners to support families and promote health and wellbeing.
We welcome applications from both experienced staff nurses and newly qualified nurses who are keen to start a career in Public Health Nursing. You will join the service at an exciting time as we progress our 0-19 pathways, working more closely with Health Visiting services and our partners in education, social care and Early Help to take a family approach to the promotion of health and wellbeing, prevention and early intervention.
Post holders will work within a team under the direction of a Specialist Practitioner School Nurse to deliver the Healthy Child Programme 5-19 in schools and other education settings. You will develop health promotion activities, work with partners in education, social care, Early Help and voluntary sector to deliver services to local communities. As a staff nurse you will hold a caseload of children requiring targeted and specialist HCP level support. You will carry out holistic health assessments and plan care for children and young people.
