About the Role:

As a School Mental Health Assistant, you'll work closely with the school's pastoral and SEN team to:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students experiencing mental health or emotional challenges.
  • Assist in developing behaviour intervention plans and wellbeing strategies.
  • Support students affected by trauma, anxiety, low mood, or social difficulties.
  • Help implement restorative and trauma-informed approaches across the school.
  • Liaise with families, external agencies, and safeguarding leads to ensure holistic support.
