School Librarian — Location: East London

We are seeking a passionate, organised and creative School Librarian to join our vibrant secondary school community in East London.

As our Librarian, you will be at the heart of the school, inspiring a love of reading, supporting independent learning, and ensuring our library is a welcoming, inclusive and engaging space for all students.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop the school library, ensuring it is well-stocked, accessible and inspiring.
  • Promote a reading culture across the school through engaging activities, clubs and events.
  • Support students and staff in accessing resources for learning and research.
  • Develop digital and information literacy skills in our students.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to enrich the curriculum.
Qualifications
  • Has excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Is enthusiastic about reading, literacy and learning.
  • Can build positive relationships with young people.
  • Has experience of working in a library or educational setting (desirable but not essential).
