Overview

Are you a reliable, organised, self-motivated person looking for a role working with children and young people? This role offers part-time hours, flexibility and a term-time-only contract. We are recruiting a School Health Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team in Bracknell. The position is 26 hours per week, term time only.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Bracknell School Nursing team to deliver the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) to children in Reception year and Year 6. You will require excellent organisational skills, the ability to work in partnership with other teams and agencies, along with great communication and a passion for working with children and families while adapting to continuing change. Your work base will be The Rowans Children’s Centre; however, the majority of your time will be spent in the schools you are visiting.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) for children in Year R and Year 6
  • Co-ordinate the delivery timetable of all commissioned schools
  • Input collected data onto the NCMP database
  • Contribute to developing, reviewing and improving the service delivery of the NCMP
  • Undertake hearing tests and make referrals to Paediatric Audiology
  • Provide administrative support to the school nursing team when required
