What skills and experience we’re looking for

19.5 hours per week (Wednesday - Friday). Term Time plus 5 days.

Grade 3 (SCP 5 - 6). Actual salary is £11,571 - £11,754 per annum.

We are seeking to appoint an energetic, enthusiastic and inspirational DT Technician with a strong commitment to working with young people in an educational setting. As a DT Technician you will support the DT department in the preparation for lessons and assist with practical lessons when required. To assist teachers and support teaching and learning you will be required to work with small groups of students. You will also be highly organised and able to manage your time effectively. Full training and support will be given to the right candidate.

The Design & Technology department is situated in 4 purpose rooms including fully equipped workshops for Design & Technology, Food Technology, Art and Textiles. The department encompasses a range of disciplines at KS3. At KS4 we currently run Engineering, Art and Design and Technical Award in Hospitality and Catering.
