We are currently seeking an experienced, dedicated and highly motivated Child and Adolescent Counsellor/Counselling Psychologist or Integrative Therapist, qualified to Level 7, to join our clinical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician, fully registered with an appropriate professional or regulatory body (e.g., HCPC), who is passionate about supporting and working with children and young people to make a meaningful difference in their lives. We are looking for an individual who can combine clinical competence with a friendly and motivated approach and who can bring a high level of professionalism, flexibility and consistency to their therapeutic work.

The post requires someone who has experience of working with children and young people in SEMH school settings. You will deliver effective and responsive psychotherapeutically informed services across our school sites, with your base in the clinical service team offices at New Forest Care, ensuring you feel embedded in the wider clinical team.

Purpose of the post:
New Forest Care’s therapeutic approach is grounded in Attachment and Trauma Informed Care practice. The successful candidate will work in a team of clinicians, and alongside the Clinical Lead. You will be expected to deliver effective and responsive psychologically informed services, undertaking assessment and therapy within schools for children and young people up to the age of 18 years of age.
You will be responsible for direct work with the young people, offering assessments, formulation, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Therapeutic interventions are based on comprehensive assessment and formulation and demands a dynamic understanding of the young person. Therapy itself will be provided in response to an understanding of the individual child’s identified needs.
