About the Role

We are looking for a School Appeal Clerk required to attend hearings. Sessions normally last a full day during which around 8 cases will be heard and in some instances you may be required, subject to availability, to attend multi day hearings.

The role will include preparation before meetings, advising Panel members and taking minutes during hearings. After meetings, you will be required to prepare decision letters and correspondence to schools and parents. This will be undertaken at home and therefore access to a computer and the internet is essential.

About you

You must be able to produce accurate records of proceedings of the appeal hearings, possess a good knowledge of school appeals practice, have experience of clerking meetings or minute/note taking and maintain confidentially.

An enhanced DBS check with children/adults barred list check will be required.
