Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain rotas for care staff, ensuring coverage for all client visits.
  • Communicate changes promptly to staff and clients.
  • Liaise with care coordinators and management for continuity of care.
  • Respond to incoming calls and emails professionally.
  • Support recruitment and induction of new care staff.
  • Participate in the on-call rota for out-of-hours support.
  • Cover care visits when required.
  • Maintain records and ensure compliance with standards.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and organised Scheduler to join our friendly office team in Belfast. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our domiciliary care service by coordinating care staff schedules and maintaining excellent communication with both clients and carers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain rotas for care staff, ensuring all client visits are covered efficiently.
  • Communicate any changes or updates promptly to staff and clients.
  • Liaise with care coordinators and management to ensure continuity of care.
  • Respond to incoming calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support recruitment and induction of new care staff as required.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support to carers and clients (shared on a rolling basis).
  • Covering care visits when required.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and RQIA/NISCC standards.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in scheduling, rostering, or coordinating within the care sector is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including use of scheduling or care management software.
  • Ability to remain calm and solution-focused under pressure.
  • Flexibility to participate in the on-call rota.
