Job Summary

Principal Engineer – BIM Manager: Lead the integration of virtual design and construction technologies to enhance project delivery and collaboration across all stakeholders. Ensure the successful execution of projects through their lifecycle, acting as the technical expert and liaison between project team, design, construction, and other stakeholders. Manage access to the BIM database to align all design and construction activities with project goals, deliver high‑quality outcomes on‑time and on‑budget, and support Universal Creative’s standards and expectations.

Major Responsibilities
  • Project Development: Lead the implementation of BIM processes and standards; manage BIM database access to ensure design and construction activities align with project goals.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as the primary point of contact for Universal Creative’s BIM standards and processes; ensure project outcomes reflect the company’s vision and requirements.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Partner with architects, engineers, vendors, contractors and other stakeholders to integrate BIM tools into workflows, facilitate coordination and resolve conflicts early.
  • Training & Support: Lead training initiatives for project teams and stakeholders on VDC/BIM tools and technologies to promote effective adoption.
  • Risk Mitigation and Reporting: Proactively identify and report risks related to design and construction; use clash detection to analyse potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all BIM deliverables, such as models, drawings and simulations, meet required standards and are accurate and reliable.
  • Environmental, Health & Safety: Participate in H&S responsibilities by following UDX policy, procedures, training and team‑member involvement activities.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management or any construction‑related field required; Master’s preferred; registered architect or engineer a plus.
  • Certification: BIM Manager Certification, Autodesk Certified Professional or equivalent highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud for project coordination and management.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in BIM/VDC leadership; managing VDC processes, including 3D modeling, clash detection across various project types; experience in themed entertainment or large‑scale, complex projects required.
