About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, motivated distribution team supporting the Northern Sales Director and Northern Business Development Management (BDM) Team. It is suitable for candidates eager to learn and interested in career growth within sales. The role offers a pathway to transition into Discretionary Investment Management Distribution, with potential to learn about the BDM role, and, where vacancies exist, to progress to a trainee and eventually a Business Development Manager position. Industry qualifications will be required if not already held.

Contract: Permanent

Reporting to the Northern Sales Director, the role involves supporting the Northern BDM Team with various sales activities.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Supporting the Northern BDM team with information to generate new business opportunities pre- and post-sale.
  2. Providing immediate support to the Northern Sales Director and holding regular catch-ups.
  3. Understanding the company’s products and services, and the circumstances in which they are appropriate for clients.
  4. Developing communications for advisers identified by the distribution team.
  5. Gathering adviser information from various sources to support panel building and maintenance.
  6. Liaising with central functions to support distribution activities.
  7. Managing FE licence updates and access for financial advisers.
  8. Participating in distribution team meetings and acting on action points.
  9. Conducting research on adviser data, competitors, and industry themes.
  10. Monitoring industry publications for emerging themes.
  11. Arranging adviser meetings and events, supporting attendance both virtually and physically.
  12. Following up on events with data collection and adviser contact.
  13. Managing and editing content on SharePoint and Degreed web pages.
  14. Building relationships with advisers and assisting in booking meetings.
  15. Supporting CRM due diligence processes when needed.
  16. Liaising with departments such as investment, research, and marketing.
  17. Developing a working plan with the Northern Sales Director for sales support.
  18. Proactively managing the adviser prospect list.
  19. Aiming to gain a Level 4 industry diploma.
