Job description

AM is a leading publisher and SaaS provider of digital primary source collections for the global research and academic community. As we continue to evolve, we are creating a new role for a Sales Operations Manager to help shape and support the future of our global sales function. This is a key opportunity for an analytically-minded and commercially-driven individual to bring structure, insight, and operational rigour to a high-performing B2B sales team working across North America, the UK, and further afield.

In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with senior sales leadership to streamline processes, embed CRM best practice (Microsoft Dynamics), and improve the systems and workflows that underpin effective selling. You’ll also develop a small team, deliver meaningful reporting and analytics, and help turn strategic vision into effective day-to-day execution. If you’re passionate about making sales operations work smarter—and enjoy driving improvements that have a real business impact—this could be the role for you.

Skills And Experience

  • Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships quickly across departments and seniority levels.
  • Highly organised, with excellent prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and driven to improve systems and workflows.
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and enforcing process adherence.
  • Strong analytical mindset.
  • Resilient under pressure, capable of juggling competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proven experience in a sales operations, revenue operations, or sales enablement role in a B2B or SaaS environment (education or publishing sector desirable).
  • Demonstrated success in owning and optimising CRM systems (Dynamics preferred).
  • Experience working with global sales teams across time zones desirable.
  • Track record of managing direct reports or junior team members in an operations context.
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience in sales reporting and pipeline analytics (Power BI desirable).
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. Monday.com, Asana, Trello) and workflow design, having successfully utilised these tools to deliver innovation and efficiency.
  • Confident working with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

This role is offered on a Hybrid basis. Our hybrid roles work upon a principle of a minimum of two days per week in the office.

We will offer you in return

  • A highly competitive salary
  • Annual bonus scheme
  • 25 days’ annual leave incrementally increasing to 30 days with the opportunity to purchase or sell annual leave
  • Life Assurance cover offering payment of four times your annual basic salary
  • Private Health Insurance, a Health Cash Plan and Employee Assistance Programme
  • Health and Wellbeing benefits to include online fitness classes and corporate massages
  • A Mobile Phone Allowance and Working from Home Stipend
  • A pension scheme with a 5% employer contribution

  • A day’s volunteering with a charity of your choice at full pay, a charity fundraising matching scheme and payroll giving scheme
