Overview

Our client is a modern, feature-rich, full-cycle insurance policy administration system designed for insurers, MGAs, and brokers seeking to optimise their processes, accelerate product launches, and enhance connectivity. Their cloud-based, no-code platform transforms the administration of insurance, delivering a seamless user experience across policy, claims, and billing functions.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, the core focus of the Sales Director will be to drive successful sales within the identified regions (primarily UK and Europe), build long-lasting customer relationships, and contribute to the company’s market presence and growth. The Sales Director will identify and win target accounts, successfully implementing the sales journey from outreach to commercial negotiation and agreement. The role will be supported by the wider Growth team, including pre-sales and marketing, and will collaborate with a range of stakeholders across the wider business. This is a crucial and exciting role as the primary sales lead in the UK and Europe, as our client looks to capitalise on strong recent success and continue its momentum as a rapidly scaling Insurtech.

Requirements

  • 4 – 5 years’ experience in B2B New Business Sales, within the insurance/Insurtech industry.

  • Experience working with CRM systems (e.g. Hubspot) and sales tools.
  • Deep knowledge of the Insurance industry

Responsibilities

Market Identification & Lead Generation:

  • Continuously analyse markets to pinpoint potential leads, opportunities, and partners.
  • Create and refine target lists, then directly engage with these accounts through networking and outreach.

Business Development:

  • Drive engagement with both outbound and inbound prospects, nurturing them into sales-qualified leads.
  • Provide feedback to the marketing team to ensure effective sales support materials.
  • Prepare and deliver excellent, client-specific presentations, meetings, and demos.
  • Capture detailed business requirements and manage the RFI/RFP processes, including creating proposals, quotations, and contracts.
  • Expertly manage stakeholder relationships and close deals through focused negotiations.
  • Ensure a smooth handover to customer success and delivery teams for seamless onboarding.

Administration / Reporting:

  • Maintain highly accurate lead and client information in the CRM.
  • Develop and update management reports and dashboards for the Chief Growth Officer and the wider business.
  • Provide regular commercial updates in various company meetings.
